Munje fisher folk infrastructure improvement project was completed in April 2015 and will befit 38,000 people majority being artisanal fishermen, subsistence farmers and micro-entrepreneurs. The project provides a platform for sustainable exploitation of fisheries as well as poverty eradication in Munje community through reduction of post-harvest losses. The facility comprise of a fish depot fitted with ten solar powered chest freezers and offices, solar powered fish driers, water catchment and storage facilities and a sanitation facility. In set the Japan Ambassador H.E Tatshushi Terada handing over the facility to Munje community together with eco-ethics staff.
